I believe it is possible to heal ancestral trauma, and it starts with being honest. Enjoyed reading this and thought of my own research when I read this sentence: "... imagine if almost every branch of your family tree was affected by repeated, brutal trauma. Recent chapters of the human story are filled with slavery, genocide, war, colonialism, starvation, and more." The more I learn about learn about enslaved people, the more I am in awe of their descendants' ability to not only survive but also thrive!
